It was Alices first race- and as you can see by the picture it was really hard running conditions in rain and wind- well done Alice and Sarah!
Congratulations to Sarah Hughes and her daughter Alice for completing the Wrexham 10k.

Now this looked a fun one!
The Blacklight run is a 5k night fun with neon glowing coloured powder and a party at the end! Well done Amy Rushton! Brilliant time and it looked fab!
Ashby 20 is a new event for the Thunder Runners- and very popular for those doing their long runs for london, Paris and the other spring marathons.
Today it was my turn (Clare Parkinson) and I have to say it's up there with one of my favourite events- a lovely sunny run around Ashbys villages. Great support from my parents (Jan and Dave Harvey), and the Parko gang- Bev, Oli, Oscar and Romy. It was awesome crossing the line with Oscar!
It was a brilliant weekend for the Thunder Runners gathering together at Silverstone for the epic half marathon.
We had 6 runners in this event- Hoa Tran, Gar-Yee Wright, Joanne Garzoni, Rhiannon Jones, Clare Parkinson and Oli Parkinson. We were very well supported as well by Angel Tran, May-Yee Wong, Jan and Dave Harvey and four little Thunder Runners- Millie Tran, Thomas and Harry Wright and Romy Parkinson. They did a fab job as it was freezing! Some pics below- didn't manage to get everyone but a fantastic team performance.
Some of our cardiff based members took place in the St David's day 10k on the 1st March.
Jumping for joy at their success are Gar-Yee Wright, May-Yee Wong, Summie Chan, Natalie Yau and Yaingy Chan. Well done girls! |
WELCOME TO THE THUNDER RUNNERS WEBSITE!
We are a small, but friendly running club and we welcome everyone to our website. Please get in touch if you would like more information about our club. “Try not to think of training as hard work. Don’t focus on how challenging the distance will be; enjoy yourself. Yes, get in as many miles as you can, keep climbing that ladder, but try not to worry if you come up short one day. Don’t lose sight of the fun.” CategoriesArchivesApril 2020 When you become a member of or renew your membership with Thunder Runners you will automatically be registered as a member of England Athletics.
