The Triathlon season has started with the first Of the PMA events in Derbyshire- the Clay Cross 'Coal man' triathlon on Sunday 17th May.
Our chairman Oli Parkinson took part in this and beat his PB by 4 minutes. Well done Oli!
Congratulations to Sarah Hughes and her daughter Alice for completing another event together- this time the Chester Half Marathon!
Well done girls!
Thunder Runners have already completed 17 events and counting this year- WOW!
Let's take a minute to thank our amazing support crew... They are standing cheering us on.... In the cold, wind and rain. They are there waiting for us at home looking after the children when it should be family weekend time. They are there driving us to events and getting up at the crack of dawn. THANK YOU!! You don't get a medal or a tshirts at the end but you sure have our appreciation. Support crew who particularly stand out this year (although you are all amazing) Lisa Lambert May-Yee Wong Colin Black-Smith Mau Garzoni Evan and Luke Rushton Thomas and Harry Wright The Parkinson's- Bev, Ryan, Jason, Oli, Clare, Oscar and Romy Emma Chamberlain Beth Hacking And of course- Angel and Millie Tran! Our Thunder Runners love MUD!
Thunder a Runner Pete lambert was joined by his Dad to complete 10k of gladiators, mud and obstacles. Although the two little ones didn't actually complete the course- you can bet they are very proud of their Daddy and Grandad!
Our Thunder Runners love Obstacles!
Two obstacle events in one day for our team but this time it was Charlotte Taylor's turn- once again joined by her team mates Rob and Ben. This event looked fab and had great feedback from Charlotte- who especially loved the travelator at the end- who wouldn't! Well done!
Another bank holiday race completed this weekend was the Cotgrae 10k in Nottinghamshire.
Even though it was hilly- the amazing Charlotte Taylor even managed a new 10k PB! Well done Charlotte!
We just can't stop May-Yee Wong from collecting medals!
But who can blame here with a back drop of a beautiful sunny Cardiff bay! Well done with your 5 miles May- you picked a great day for it! |
WELCOME TO THE THUNDER RUNNERS WEBSITE!
We are a small, but friendly running club and we welcome everyone to our website. Please get in touch if you would like more information about our club. “Try not to think of training as hard work. Don’t focus on how challenging the distance will be; enjoy yourself. Yes, get in as many miles as you can, keep climbing that ladder, but try not to worry if you come up short one day. Don’t lose sight of the fun.” CategoriesArchivesApril 2020 When you become a member of or renew your membership with Thunder Runners you will automatically be registered as a member of England Athletics.
